Custard Pie
Custard Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (9-inch) deep dish pie shell, 4 slightly beaten eggs, 1/2 c. sugar, 1/4 tsp. salt and 1/2 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Preheat oven to 400°, also preheat cookie sheet that will hold pie.
Blend eggs, sugar, salt, vanilla and almond extract. Gradually add scalded milk.
Pour into pie shell (unbaked). Sprinkle with nutmeg.
Bake in 400° oven 25 to 30 minutes.
Cool pie on rack 15 to 30 minutes, then chill in refrigerator.
