Stir together the sugar, flour and salt.
Add eggs and blend. Add vanilla and milk; mix and pour into unbaked pie crust. Sprinkle top with 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg.
Bake in a 400° oven for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 325° and bake about 25 minutes more.
