Custard Bread Pudding
Custard Bread Pudding is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 qt. plus 1 c. milk, 6 eggs, 3/4 c. sugar, 7 slices bread, buttered and scored and 1 small tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Butter a 10 x 7 x 3-inch baking dish.
Place buttered bread in bottom.
Sprinkle raisins over bread.
Scald milk.
Beat eggs slightly and add sugar and vanilla to eggs.
Pour milk on eggs, gradually beating at same time. Pour this mixture over bread in dish. Bake in basin of water.
Sprinkle top with confectioners sugar when it is done.
Bake in a 425Β° oven for 35 minutes.
