Cut cukes into long thin strips.

Bring water, salt, sugar and vinegar to a boil; cool.

Pack cukes into 2 half gallon or 1 gallon jug.

Pour mixture over cukes and add 1 clove garlic and fresh dill.

Put in refrigerator and don't use for 24 hours.

Always keep refrigerated.

You may use quart jars if you wish.

It will make 2 to 3 quart jars.
