Crunch Bars
Crunch Bars is an easy dinner. Made with 1 column saltines (from 4-pack pkg.), 2 sticks butter, 1 c. brown sugar and 12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Preheat oven to 400°.
Layer saltines on foil-lined 15 x 10-inch pan.
Boil butter and sugar for 3 minutes.
Pour or spoon mixture over saltines. Bake at 400° for 7 minutes (watch carefully).
Remove from oven and spread chips over top of saltines.
(Using back of spoon helps.)
Don't let cool at all or chips won't melt.
You can do it right on oven doors so the syrup on the crackers is still liquid hot.
Cool in refrigerator then break into pieces.
