Crumb Cake
Crumb Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. flour, 2 c. brown sugar, 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, 1/2 tsp. nutmeg and 1/2 tsp. soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Combine flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, soda, baking powder and salt.
Cut Crisco into mixture until well mixed.
Take out 1/2 cup of this mixture and save.
Add beaten eggs, buttermilk and vanilla.
Pour into a greased pan or 2 (8-inch) cake pans. Add chopped pecans to the 1/2 cup of dry mixture and sprinkle over the top of the batter.
Bake at 350Β° for 25 or 30 minutes.
Always serve hot.
