Crumb Cake
Crumb Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. flour, 2 c. brown sugar, 1/2 c. shortening, butter or margarine, 1 egg, beaten and 1 c. buttermilk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Mix flour and brown sugar together.
Cut in shortening until mixture is crumbly.
Take out 1 cup crumbs for topping.
Add to remaining crumbs, the next 4 ingredients in the order they are listed.
Mix well after each addition.
Pour into a greased 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
Sprinkle reserved cup of crumbs over top. Bake at 375Β° for 25 to 30 minutes.
