Croquettes
Croquettes is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. thick white sauce (see recipe following), 2 c. finely chopped or ground meat (beef, chicken, pork or ham), 1 tbsp. minced onion, 1 tsp. parsley and salt and pepper to taste, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Prepare Thick White Sauce.
Stir in meat, 1 tablespoon minced onion and parsley.
Season with salt and pepper.
Cover and chill for 2 hours.
Divide mixture into 12 equal parts and shape each into a ball.
Beat egg and water until blended.
Dip each ball into the egg mixture, then roll in bread crumbs until well coated. Cover and chill again for about 2 hours.
