Crispy Chocolate Snacks
Crispy Chocolate Snacks is an easy dinner. Made with 1 tbsp. shortening, 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips, 3 c. wheaties honey gold cereal and 1 c. chopped nuts, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Heat shortening and chocolate chips in a 3-quart saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until melted and smooth.
Remove from heat.
Stir in cereal and nuts until well coated.
Firmly press in ungreased square pan, 9 x 9 x 2-inch.
Refrigerate about 30 minutes or until firm.
Cut into about 1 1/2-inch squares. Store in refrigerator.
Makes 3 dozen snacks.
