Cream butter and sugar with a wooden spoon.
Add vanilla. Alternately add flour and chopped nuts.
Roll out dough by patting it with hands to about 1/4-inch thick on floured waxed paper.
Cut with biscuit cutter into crescent shape by overlapping cutter. Bake at 300Β° for 30 minutes on ungreased baking sheet.
Roll in powdered sugar while warm.
