Creole Chicken
Creole Chicken is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 whole chicken, cut up, 1 1/2 tbsp. vegetable oil, 1 1/2 tbsp. butter or margarine, 1 medium onion, thinly sliced and 2 tsp. garlic powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
In a large skillet, brown chicken in oil until brown.
Remove and set aside.
In same skillet, heat butter.
Saute onion until tender.
Add garlic powder, seasoned salt and seasoned pepper. Return chicken pieces to skillet.
Add remaining ingredients, except rice.
Cover and simmer 30 to 40 minutes, until chicken is cooked.
Serve over hot white rice.
