Crème Brûlée
Crème Brûlée is an easy dinner. Made with 1 pt. (20 oz.) heavy whipping cream, 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract, 4 egg yolks and 4 oz. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Put the cream into a heatproof bowl over a pan of hot water and heat gently (do not boil).
Beat the egg yolks with 2 ounces sugar.
Stir in the cream.
Divide the custard equally between 6 ramekins.
Stand dishes in a roasting pan containing enough hot water to come halfway up the sides of the dishes.
Bake at 300° for about 1 hour or until set.
Remove from the pan and allow to cool, then chill overnight.
