Creamy Hash Brown Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 can (10 3/4 oz.) condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted, 1 can (10 3/4 oz.) condensed cheddar cheese soup, undiluted, 1 c. (8 oz.) sour cream, 1/2 c. margarine, softened and 1/4 c. chopped onion, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

In a large bowl, combine the soups, sour cream, margarine, onion and salt.
Add potatoes; mix well.
Pour into a greased 13x9x2-inch baking dish.
Sprinkle with potato chips.
Bake, uncovered at 350Β° for 45 minutes.
Remove from oven, sprinkle with cheese, if desired.
Return to oven and resume baking for another 10 to 15 minutes.
