Creamed Chicken
Creamed Chicken is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 c. diced celery, 1 medium onion, diced, 2 tbsp. diced green pepper, 6 tbsp. butter and 2 tbsp. diced pimento, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Cook celery, onion and green pepper in 1 tablespoon butter in double boiler for 5 minutes.
Add pimento and chicken.
Make white sauce with 5 tablespoons butter, flour and milk.
Add soup and mushrooms; mix well.
Pour into a shallow baking dish.
Cover with mixed cheese and bread crumbs.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 to 40 minutes. Yields 10 to 12 servings.
