Beat 1 egg and 1 1/2 cups sugar together, then add 1/2 cup sifted flour; wet with a little milk to make perfectly smooth. Stir all of this into 1 pint boiling milk.
It is best to put the milk into a double boiler to prevent it from burning.
Flavor with vanilla and lemon flavorings.
