Sift dry ingredients on waxed paper.
Sift again into an ungreased 8-inch square baking pan.
Make three little wells in the dry ingredients and pour the salad oil into one, the vinegar into another and the vanilla into the other.
Add milk and stir with a fork until mixture is blended.
Bake in this pan in moderate oven for 30 minutes.
