Cranberry Apple Crisp
Cranberry Apple Crisp is an moderately easy dessert you can prepare in about 1 hour 30 minutes. Made with c. cranberries or 1 (12 oz.) pkg., large apples (unpeeled), cored and sliced thin, c. sugar, . cinnamon and c. all-purpose flour, divided, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Preheat oven to 375°.
In large bowl, combine the cranberries, apples, sugar, cinnamon and 1 tablespoon flour.
Transfer the mixture to a greased 6-cup shallow baking dish.
In same bowl (no need to wash it), combine the remaining flour, brown sugar, oats and nuts, if desired.
Stir in the melted butter.
Mix the ingredients well (should be crumbly).
Sprinkle the oat mixture over the fruit mixture.
Bake at 375° for 40 minutes or until the crisp is lightly brown.
Let stand for 10 minutes before serving. Serves 12.
