Cracker Jacks
Cracker Jacks is an moderately easy dinner you can prepare in just 54 minutes. Made with c. popped corn, c. salted peanuts, c. brown sugar, c. white syrup and c. molasses, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Boil together brown sugar, syrup, molasses and margarine for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring often.
Remove from heat and add soda. Have popcorn and peanuts in deep pan (I use a roaster) and pour syrup mixture over popcorn and nuts.
Mix and put in oven at 250Β°. Stir every 15 minutes for 1 hour.
Remove from oven and put on waxed paper to cool.
Store in a tightly closed container.
