Cracker Jack Popcorn
Cracker Jack Popcorn is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 qt. popped popcorn, 1 1/4 c. sugar, 2/3 c. butter, 2/3 c. karo syrup and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Preheat oven to 225° to 250°.
Pop corn (air popper is best). Set aside in large roaster or pan.
Mix butter, sugar and syrup in large pot.
Cook to a rolling boil for 5 minutes.
Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and baking soda; mixture will foam.
Pour over popcorn and mix until well coated.
Bake for 1 hour, stirring every fifteen minutes.
Remove from pans and store in covered containers.
