Crab Stew
Crab Stew is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 doz. crabs, clean and break bodies in half, 1 c. flour (for roux), 1 onion, chopped, 4 stalks celery, chopped and 1 bell pepper, chopped, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
π¨βπ³ Instructions
Add 1 cup flour in enough oil to brown for roux.
Brown to a very dark color.
Add onions, celery, bell pepper, garlic, tomato paste and season to taste.
Add water while cooking (enough to make a gravy, about medium).
Simmer for 30 minutes.
Add crab bodies and simmer another 30 minutes.
Serve over rice.
