Cowboy Beans
Cowboy Beans is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. dry pinto beans, 4 tsp. salt, 1/2 tsp. chili powder, 1 large onion, chopped and jalapeños to taste, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Cover the beans completely in water and add the grease, salt, sugar and chili powder.
Cook over low heat for 3 or 4 hours.
You may have to add water to keep the beans from burning and sticking. In a separate skillet, brown the hamburger.
Add the hamburger, onion and tomatoes to the beans after they have cooked about 3 hours.
Season to taste with jalapeños.
Makes 6 servings.
