Cowboy Beans is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. ground beef, 2 c. barbecue sauce, 1 med. onion, diced, 1/2 tsp. garlic salt and 1/2 tsp. celery seed, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

In a large Dutch oven, brown beef, drain fat.
Add barbecue sauce onion, garlic salt, celery seed, mustard, molasses, beans and mushrooms to the beef mixture.
Stir well.
Bring to a boil.
Then reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour.
Serve with cornbread and a green salad for a wonderful meal.
