Country Potatoes
Country Potatoes is an moderately easy dinner you can prepare in just 58 minutes. Made with new or red potatoes, c. grated sharp cheddar cheese, strips cooked bacon, crumbled, c. butter, melted and salt and pepper to taste, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Boil potatoes with skins on until done.
Drain and let cool. Slice unpeeled potatoes thin.
Butter bottom of 13 x 9-inch pan. Layer half of the potatoes, salt and pepper, half of the cheese and half of the bacon.
Dribble half of the butter over the layer. Repeat the layers.
Bake at 350Β° until bubbling, about 15 minutes.
Freezes well.
