Cornwell Cheese Squares
Cornwell Cheese Squares is an easy dinner. Made with 2 (3 oz.) pkg. chive cream cheese or 8 oz. container chive/onion cream cheese, 4 stiffly beaten egg whites, 1/2 lb. butter, 1/4 lb. sharp cheese and 1 loaf unsliced white bread, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Melt cream cheese, sharp cheese and butter in double boiler. Fold in egg whites.
Remove crust from bread.
Cut in 1-inch squares.
Dip bread cubes in warm cheese.
Put on wax lined cookie sheet.
Freeze.
When frozen put in plastic bag or container.
When ready to serve, pop in oven for 10 minutes at 400Β°.
Good appetizer to have on hand for unexpected occasions.
