Cornmeal Scrapple
Cornmeal Scrapple is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. cornmeal, 1 c. milk, 1 tsp. sugar, 1 tsp. salt and 2 3/4 c. boiling water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

In a saucepan, combine the cornmeal, milk, sugar and salt; gradually stir in water.
Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Reduce heat; cook, covered, 10 minutes longer or until very thick, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and stir in sausage.
Pour into buttered loaf pan.
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate. To serve, cut 1/3-inch slices; dip in flour on both sides.
Fry in skillet in melted butter over medium heat until browned on both sides.
Serve warm with syrup.
