Measure flour, cornmeal and and salt into bowl.
Cut in shortening thoroughly.
Sprinkle in water, 1 tablespoon at a time, mixing until all flour is moistened.
Gather into a ball.
Roll into a rectangle, 12 x 8-inches, on lightly floured cloth covered board.
Fold lengthwise in half; cut slits in folded edge.
