Cornish Pasties
Cornish Pasties is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (2 to 3 lb.) chuck roast, 1 large onion, 2 large potatoes, 1 large turnip and salt and pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Peel onion; set in same pan as the meat and roast until fairly tender.
Cut meat and onion up fine.
Boil potatoes and turnip; dice.
Mix with meat.
Add salt and pepper.
Roll out pastry fairly thin (1/4-inch).
Cut into rounds the size of a saucer.
Put meat mixture in the center of each round.
Bring 2 opposite sides of pastry together in a join at the top and flute edges.
Brush with beaten egg.
Bake in hot 425Β° oven for 30 to 40 minutes.
This mixture will make several dozen pasties.
