Cornish Hens
Cornish Hens is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 or 2 cornish hens, 1/3 c. soy sauce, 1/4 c. vegetable or olive oil, 3 garlic or garlic powder and 1 tbsp. brown sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Place hens, breast side down in a heavy plastic bag.
Mix marinade and pour over hens.
Seal and marinate 8 hours in refrigerator, turning occasionally.
Remove hens from marinade. Bring marinade to a boil and set aside.
Place hens breast side up in a lightly greased 13 x 9 pan.
Bake uncovered at 450° for 15 minutes, then lower temperature to 400° for 1 hour or until golden brown and tender.
Baste with marinade or butter every 15 minutes.
