Cornbread
Cornbread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. buttermilk, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/2 tsp. soda, 1/2 tsp. sugar and 1/2 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

👨🍳 Instructions
Mix together the buttermilk, salt, soda, sugar, baking powder and egg.
Add enough cornmeal to make a medium-thick batter.
Melt 1 tablespoon shortening in bottom of baking pan and sprinkle in a little cornmeal.
Brown this in the oven.
Add batter and bake at 375° to 400° until done.
