Saute onion, garlic and bell pepper in bacon fat.
Add corn. Add egg beaten with milk.
Add corn meal and season to taste. Stir mixture over medium fire until thick.
Pour into a buttered casserole.
Sprinkle top with bread crumbs and dot with butter. Bake 1 hour at 350Β°.
