Corn Chowder
Corn Chowder is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 fresh medium ears of corn or 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen whole kernel corn, 1/2 c. cubed, peeled potato, 1/2 c. chopped onion, 1/3 c. water and 2 tsp. instant chicken bouillon granules, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
In a large saucepan, combine frozen corn, potato, onion, water, bouillon cubes and pepper.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat. Cover and simmer about 10 minutes or until corn and potatoes are tender, stirring occasionally.
Stir in 1 1/2 cups of the milk and the margarine.
Combine the remaining milk and flour.
Combine milk and flour mixture into corn mixture.
Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.
Cook and stir 1 minute more.
Makes 4 to 6 side dish servings.
