Mix corn and milk and bring to a boil.
Separate corn from milk and return milk to fire.
Make paste from margarine and flour, adding the paste to milk to thicken.
Simmer 5 minutes and add salt and sugar.
Return corn to milk and bring back to a boil over low heat.
Transfer creamed corn to casserole dish.
Sprinkle evenly with Parmesan cheese.
Dot top with melted margarine and brown under broiler.
Makes 6 servings.
