Coon Dogs (Appetizers) is an easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. hot or mild sausage, 1 small box bisquick, 10 oz. coon or extra sharp cheese and few drops of tabasco sauce, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Let sausage come to room temperature.
Mix dry Bisquick and sausage with hands.
Melt cheese in double boiler; add Tabasco sauce.
Add cheese to sausage mixture; mix well.
Shape into teaspoon-sized balls.
Bake in preheated 350Β° oven for 15 minutes. (May be made ahead of time and frozen, then baked without thawing.)
Serve hot.
