Cooked Chocolate Cake
Cooked Chocolate Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. flour, 2 c. sugar, 4 tbsp. cocoa, 1 stick butter and 1/2 c. crisco, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Mix together the flour and sugar and set aside.
Mix together the cocoa, Crisco, butter and water.
Bring to a boil, then pour over flour and sugar.
Mix together the buttermilk, soda, vanilla and eggs.
Add to the mixture.
Pour in 11 x 16-inch greased pan. Bake at 400Β° for 15 to 20 minutes or until done.
Start making frosting 5 minutes before cake is done.
