Congo Squares
Congo Squares is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2/3 c. crisco, 1 box light brown sugar, 3 eggs, 2 3/4 c. self-rising flour and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Melt shortening.
Add brown sugar and eggs, beat well, then add vanilla and nuts.
Mix in flour.
Pour batter into 2 pans, 10 x 7 x 3/4-inch pans.
Sprinkle 1/2 cup chocolate chips over each pan. Bake 15 minutes at 350Β°.
If you shake pan as batter begins to rise it will make batter fall and become chewy.
Cut into bars or squares.
