Congo Bars
Congo Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. margarine, melted, 2 c. brown sugar, 3 eggs, 2 3/4 c. flour (self-rising) and 1 c. chopped nuts, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
👨🍳 Instructions
Mix melted margarine and brown sugar.
Cool slightly and add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
Add sifted flour to liquid mixture and mix well.
Add chopped nuts and chocolate chips.
Pour into 9 x 13-inch greased pan.
Bake at 325° to 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.
Cut when cool.
