Company Coffee Bars
Company Coffee Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/2 c. crushed vanilla wafers, 3 oz. chocolate chips, 1/4 lb. oleo, 2 c. powdered sugar and 4 eggs, separated, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Sprinkle 1 3/4 cups crumbs in 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
Melt chips and oleo in saucepan on low heat.
Stir in powdered sugar. Beat egg yolks; stir into chocolate mixture.
Beat whites until stiff.
Fold into chocolate well.
Pour over crumbs.
Top with pecans.
Freeze solid.
Soften ice cream; spread over chocolate layer.
Top with 3/4 cup crumbs.
Cover with foil.
Freeze solid. Serves 16 to 20.
Will keep frozen for 3 months.
