Coffee-Toffee Bars
Coffee-Toffee Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/4 c. sifted flour, 1/2 tsp. baking powder, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1 c. butter or margarine and 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar, creaming well, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
Cream together butter or margarine and brown sugar, creaming well.
Blend in almond extract and instant coffee.
Add the dry ingredients gradually; blend thoroughly.
Stir in chocolate morsels and chopped almonds.
Press into a well-greased 15 x 10 x 1-inch pan. Bake at 350Β° for 20 to 25 minutes.
If desired, frost while still warm.
