Coffee Cake
Coffee Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. shortening, 3/4 c. sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla, 3 eggs and 2 c. sifted flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla thoroughly.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Sift flour, baking powder and soda together.
Add to creamed mixture, alternately with sour cream, blending after each addition.
Spread half the batter in a 10-inch tube pan (greased and floured).
Cream butter, brown sugar and cinnamon; add nuts.
Mix well.
Sprinkle 1/2 nut mixture evenly over the batter in pan.
Cover with remaining batter.
Sprinkle remaining nut mixture on top.
Bake at 350Β° for 50 minutes.
