Coconut Cream Pie
Coconut Cream Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 tbsp. sugar, 5 tbsp. flour, 1/4 tsp. salt, 2 c. milk and 3 egg yolks, beaten, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Preheat oven to 350°.
Combine sugar, flour and salt.
Add milk and egg yolks.
Mix well.
Cook 10 minutes in a double boiler, stirring constantly until thick.
Add coconut and vanilla. Let cool.
Put into pie shell.
Beat egg whites; add sugar and beat until egg whites stand in peaks.
Spread over top of pie. Sprinkle coconut on top and bake at 350° for 15 minutes or until light brown.
