Coconut Cake

Beat sugar and eggs for 2 minutes, then add softened oleo. Beat until mixed well.
Dissolve soda in buttermilk and add to mixture.
Stir dry ingredients together and add to mixture along with the vanilla. Cook in three layers at 350Β°.
Cook until cake springs back in center.
