Classic Walnut Pie
Classic Walnut Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 eggs, lightly beaten, 1 c. sugar, 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour, 1 c. karo light or dark corn syrup and 2 tbsp. melted butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Heat oven to 400°.
Combine eggs, sugar, flour, syrup, butter and vanilla; blend well.
Pour into unbaked pie shell.
Arrange walnuts on top.
Bake in lower third of oven at 400° for 15 minutes. Reduce oven to 350°.
Bake an additional 35 to 45 minutes or until center appears set.
Cool completely.
