Circle Cake
Circle Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 stick butter, 1/2 c. shortening, 3 c. sugar, 5 eggs and 3 c. plain flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Cream together butter and shortening and add 3 cups sugar gradually.
Add eggs (one at a time), beating after each addition. Add plain flour to which baking powder has been added alternately with sweet milk.
Flavor with vanilla and lemon.
Pour in large steeple pan which is greased and bottom lined with wax paper. Place in cold oven at 350Β° and bake without opening door for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
