Heat oven to 375Β°.

Beat butter and 3/4 cup sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in egg and extract.

Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.

Gradually add to butter mixture, mixing well.

Combine cinnamon and remaining 3 tablespoons sugar in small bowl.

Roll dough into 1-inch balls and roll in sugar/cinnamon mixture.

Place 2 inches apart on lightly buttered cookie sheet. Bake 11 to 12 minutes or until light golden brown.

Let stand on cookie sheet.

Transfer to wire cooling racks.

Makes about 2 dozen cookies.
