Cinnamon Rice
Cinnamon Rice is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 tbsp. unsalted butter, 1/2 c. carrots, small dice, 1/2 c. celery, small dice, 1/2 c. white onion, diced and 2 c. long grain rice, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Melt 2 tablespoons butter. Add carrots, celery and onion. Cover and cook for 10 minutes over low heat, stirring occasionally. Add rice, salt, cinnamon sticks, currants and water to pan and bring to boil over high heat.
Stir rice and lower heat to simmer. Cover and cook 10 to 15 minutes more. Remove cinnamon. Add 2 tablespoons butter and adjust seasonings.
