Cinnamon Ornaments
Cinnamon Ornaments is an easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. ground cinnamon, 1 tbsp. ground allspice, 2 tbsp. ground cloves, 1 tbsp. ground nutmeg and 1 c. applesauce (may need to strain), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Combine spices, blending well.
Stir in applesauce; mix well. (Mixture will be stiff.)
Roll out to 1/4-inch thickness on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Using small or medium size cookie cutters, cut dough into desired shapes.
Peel away excess dough and reroll as necessary.
Use a toothpick to make a hole in each ornament.
Let dry naturally, about a week.
You might use a utensil to flip the ornament over after a couple of days to dry on the back side.
Pull length of ribbon through hole of ornament. When completely dry, ornaments may be sealed in a plastic bag or tin.
Yields 15 to 20 ornaments.
