Cinnamon Knots
Cinnamon Knots is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1/4 c. warm water, 1 c. scalded milk, 1/2 c. butter flavor crisco, melted, 1/2 c. sugar and 1 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the milk, Crisco, sugar and salt.
Stir in yeast mixture, eggs and flour.
Let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Stir down.
Pinch off dough about the size of a walnut and roll between hands until it's about 5 inches long.
Dip in melted Crisco, then in 1 cup of sugar and 3 tablespoons of cinnamon.
Tie into a knot and place into a greased muffin cup.
Continue until all dough has been used. Cover and let rise.
Bake at 375Β° for 12 to 15 minutes.
Yields 3 dozen rolls.
