Beat sugar, melted butter, egg and milk in a large bowl for 2 minutes at medium speed.
Stir flour, baking powder and salt. Sprinkle with brown sugar.

Bake at 425Β° for 35 minutes until center of cake is done.
Let cool 10 minutes before cutting.
