Cincinnati Chili
Cincinnati Chili is an impressive soup you can prepare in about 1 hour 34 minutes. Made with qt. water, medium onions, grated, (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce, whole allspice and . red pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Add ground beef to water in a 4-quart pot; stir until beef separates into a fine texture.
Boil slowly for 1/2 hour.
Add all remaining ingredients.
Stir to blend, bringing to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 3 hours.
Last hour may cover, if desired consistency is reached (will not be as thick as conventional chili).
May refrigerate overnight and skim fat from top before reheating.
Serve over spaghetti with Cheddar cheese. (May also add chopped onions, if to your taste.)
