Church Dessert
Church Dessert is an easy dinner. Made with 30 oreo cookies, crushed, 1/2 c. margarine, 1/2 gal. peppermint ice cream, softened, 1 large or 2 small jars fudge topping and cool whip, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Mix together cookies and margarine; set aside 1/2 cup for topping.
Spread remainder of cookie mixture on bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan; freeze.
Spread peppermint ice cream on top of crust; freeze.
Spread fudge topping on top of ice cream; freeze.
Spread Cool Whip on top of fudge topping and sprinkle with the reserved 1/2 cup of cookie crumbs; freeze.
Take out of freezer a few minutes before serving.
